Mrs Hannah Weerasuriya BSc, Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy - 1st Class Honours 2015

Dental Hygiene Therapist

Hannah started her career in dentistry in 2007 and qualified with the National Certificate in Dental Nursing (NEBDN) in 2009. She has worked alongside specialist clinicians in Periodontics, Endodontics, Prosthodontics and Orthodontics. It was here that she found her passion for Periodontics and decided to pursue her career as a dental hygiene/therapist. She qualified with first class honours in 2015 and has worked with us since qualifying. She has a special interest in alternative therapies including guided meditation and relaxation techniques in surgery. She treats a wide range of patients but always thrives with anxious patients, making the dental experience a positive one.

Hannah works under ‘direct access’ here so can see patients without referral from a dentist. She can work within her scope but is not a dentist. The appointment would include an assessment of the gum health, cleaning and polishing the teeth and comprehensive oral hygiene advice.
